BRUNSVILLE LEGION HALL RENTAL AGREEMENT

RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

1)      Upon initial contact we will temporarily hold the date requested.   It is not set permanently until the signed contract is received.   Payment and security deposit are due with the signed contract to retain your booking.  

 

Rental cost:

Reception and Dance 300.00(non-refundable) plus 100.00 Security Deposit

Banquet only 200.00(non-refundable) plus 100.00 Security Deposit

Front Bar only $75.00(non-refundable) plus 50.00 Security Deposit

 

To receive you Security Deposit back the following criteria needs to be satisfied:

All decorations must be removed after the event. 

Chairs need to be put back up on the tables and on chair racks.

All garbage removed.   We have a dumpster available for you to use.

The floor need to be swept and all spills moped.

An inspection will be made to access any damage to the facility or property belonging to the Legion.

 

2)      The Legion Hall and Bar area are air conditioned.   If the doors are left open, the air conditioning will be turned off for the remainder of the event.

3)      The Reception Hall and Bar area are Smoke Free (this includes Electronic Devices) in compliance to Iowa State Law.

4)      Absolutely NO Liquor of any kind may be brought in to the Legion Building. All drink and pop are to be dispensed through the bar.

5)      The 21 drinking age is strictly enforced.   WE CARD-NO I.D.-NO SERVICE!  This is the Law and it is enforced.   Please inform your wedding party and family to have an I.D. with them.   NO I.D.-NO DRINKS!   We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone!   Those who choose to buy alcohol for minors will be asked to leave along with the minors.   If this problem continues, we have the right to stop the event.   Please inform your family and friends of this.

6)      ABSOLUTELY NO DRINKS ARE ALLOWED ON THE DANCE FLOOR AT ANYTIME.

7)      Decorating may be done any time after Thursday, unless there is another booking that week.   Please make arrangements with the manager.

8)      Staples, Nails and Tape are not allowed on the walls.  Please limit the use of duct tape to the cement floor.   Use scotch or clear tape on the tables.   Limited decorations may be hung from the ceilings and must be approved by the management.   No open flame candles are allowed as they are a fire hazard.

9)      Decorations and table covers may be left on the tables during the dance.   (Any decorations left on the table are your responsibility.)   All plates, cups, food etc. must be removed from the tables before the dance begins.

10)   All tables and chairs on the dance floor for the reception must be removed before the dance starts.   It is your responsibility to have plenty of help for this.   The manager will direct workers.

11)   No food or drink from the reception is allowed out during the dance.   The serving line and any drink and cake tables are to be cleared before the dance starts.   All food needs to be taken home after the dance.

12)   The cake and punch table will not be allowed to set up on the dance floor or carpeted area.

13)   Caterers are responsible for their own equipment and accessories, coffee pots and servers and ICE.   The kitchen and serving area need to be cleaned before they leave.   Please inform your caterer of this.   We do not have an Ice machine.

14)   DJ’s and bands are limited to playing 4 hours.   The dance is to be over by midnight.   Most start at 7PM.   Soft dinner music may be played during the reception.

15)   Choose your band or DJ carefully.   Management has been instructed by the Legion Council to pull the plug and discontinue the dance if songs with obscene lyrics are played.   All bands and DJ’s are to set up on the stage area.

16)   Management and bartenders do not have to put up with any fighting, disturbances, or anyone who cannot be responsible while drinking.   Should there be a problem with this the management has the right to shut down the event and law enforcement will be called.

17)   The Legion or its workers are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged articles.
